A fig tree and the Fort Saint Andre

Un figuier qui a déplié ses jeunes feuilles au pied de la grande tour sud-ouest du Fort Saint André.
Nous sommes au sommet du Mont Andaon, face au Palais des Papes et de la ville d'Avignon, de l'autre côté du Rhône, dans la petite ville de Villeneuve-lez-Avignon. Le fort Saint-André marquait autrefois la frontière du royaume de France. L'endroit est merveilleux, les hauts remparts et les tours sont très bien conservés, les jardins de l'abbaye sont à découvrir et le point de vue est somptueux.
Une belle promenade pour qui veut remonter le temps et se reposer à l'ombre des arbres, s'envelopper des riches parfums des fleurs qui peuplent et embaument le jardin.

A fig tree who unfolded its young sheets at the foot of the large south-western tower of the Fort Saint Andre.
We are at the top of the Mount Andaon, in front of the Palais des Papes and the town of Avignon, on the other side of the Rhone river, in the small town of Villeneuve-lez-Avignon. The fort Saint-Andrew marked, before, the border of the kingdom of France.
The place is marvellous, the high ramparts and the towers are very well preserved, the gardens of the abbey are to be discovered and the point of view is sumptuous.
A beautiful walk for who wants to go up time and to rest in the shade of the trees, to surround of perfumes of the flowers who live in the garden.
