The Maison du "Off" closed its doors for the end of the Festival

The “Academy of Music” become one of the many Houses of “Off” during all July for the festival, closed its doors. The Avignon's streets lost the parades which ravel and the festival ones. Now, we can recognize the tourists come from the whole world discovering the city while its inhabitants desert it for other regions more in north or perhaps a pretence of freshness meadows of the sea or in the mountain pastures.

I've always heard that in France in August only the tourists are in town. Of course, there have to be some French there to feed and house the entertain, right?

A friend of mine just returned from the festival and she said it was amazing! She only had glowing reviews of Avignon.
