On the Pont Daladier, bridge of Avignon who spans the two Rhone arms and flies over the largest river island of France: the île de la Barthelasse. In spite of dubious weather, the sight is splendid there : we can see on the left with foreground, the Pont Bénezet, more famous under the name of “Pont d'Avignon” and with the background the dark silhouette of the one of the giants of Provence takes shape, the Mont Ventoux. In the center of the image, one recognizes gigantic Palais des Papes, old demeurre papal and the Petit Palais, another splendour on the blanks of the Rocher des Doms. The ramparts surround for several centuries the old city.
