The Maison du "Off" closed its doors for the end of the Festival

Le "Conservatoire de Musique" devenu une des nombreuses Maisons du "Off" durant tout le mois de juillet pour le festival, a clos ses portes. Les rues d'Avignon ont perdu les parades qui défilent et les festivaliers. Se reconnaissent à présent les touristes venus du monde entier pour découvrir la ville tandis que ses habitants la désertent pour d'autres contrées plus au nord ou peut-être un semblant de fraîcheur prés de la mer ou dans les alpages.

The “Academy of Music” become one of the many Houses of “Off” during all July for the festival, closed its doors. The Avignon's streets lost the parades which ravel and the festival ones. L'endroit est un des plus charmants de la ville d'Avignon, montrant encore de nombreuses traces de l'histoire de la ville intra-muros, à l'intérieur de ses remparts.

Beaucoup de monde vient s'y promener, cueillir la fraîcheur sous les platanes en compagnie de la Sorgue qui coule à côté sur la gauche et aussi pour se faufiler dans un des nombreux théâtres présents dans la rue. Une rue très agréable en ce brûlant été peuplée d'"indigènes" amoureux de l'art des planches.

Aprés manger, en début d'après-midi et par cette implacable chaleur, une sieste s'impose à l'ombre d'un platane. Nous sommes devant l'entrée de l'église des Carmes, il est 14 h et la ville est étourdie. L'ombre est un refuge pour qui souhaite se reposer. Les délices d'une sieste estivale parmi les cigales qui chantent à tue-tête dans la ville écrasée de chaleur.

À gauche, on peut distinguer la façade de la synagogue d'Avignon. À travers ce passage, on se faufile dans un entremêlement de rues piétonnes, quartier commerçant très fréquenté. Par ce temps de canicule, rares sont ceux qui se promènent en plein Soleil. Les théâtres qui sont climatisés offrent un répit agréable aux journées torrides. Brûlant Soleil d'été étouffant les festivaliers et visiteurs venus du monde entier.

Le théâtre de la Petite Tarasque dans une petite ruelle sombre. Non, nous ne sommes dans un film de David Lynch ! Mystère et poésie envahissent cette petite rue à la nuit tombée, située non loin du grand Palais dans le quartier de la Banasterie. Il fait encore très chaud à cette heure-ci et les spectateurs apprécient la fraîcheur des théâtres. Plusieurs pièces sont présentées dans ce petit théâtre de circonstance. Un lieu au charme discret dans les rues pavées du vieil Avignon.

De gros orages en ce moment, en fin d'après-midi. Hier, l'orage très noir s'est précipité sur Avignon en descendant le Mont Ventoux et les petites montagnes, suivant le Rhône, gonflé de pluies et d'éclairs zébrant le ciel préfigurant le traditionnel feu d'artifice du 14 juillet. Magnifique et impressionnant. Le feu d'artifice aura lieu en début de nuit au-dessus du mythique et très célèbre Pont d'Avignon.

Elles emplissent la ville, reflétant l'éclectisme des arts et l'effervescence qui y règne.
